The Milk & Honey Distillery Elements Sherry Single Malt Israeli Whisky 700ml

The Milk & Honey Distillery was established in 2014 and is located in Tel Aviv, Israel’s first city and the heart of Israel’s culinary and drinking scene. It is here the owners of the distillery collect their inspiration and passion for their whisky and strive to make world class spirits. It’s no secret that the climate in the middle east os hot and dry with an average 300 days of sun recorded each year.  The climate is used in this instance to create a whisky which takes on specific terroir and challenges centuries old techniques and traditions. With a minimum of three years maturation the whisky is graceful. The distillery hired the late Dr Jim Swan, one of the world’s most accomplished Master Distillers and an expert in hot climate distillation and maturation, as an advisor. With its own custom made traditional copper still and the use of exceptional barrels which include but not limited to, ex-Bourbon, ex-red wine and kosher sherry barrels the Distillery produce some excellent whisky.

The Milk & Honey Distillery Classic Single Malt Israeli Whisky 700ml

Established in 2014 in Tel Aviv the heart of Israel’s culinary and drinking scene. Milk & Honey Distillery produces whiskies that are not only kosher they use the climate to create a whisky which takes on their specific terroir (It’s no secret that the weather in the middle east is hot and dry). After a minimum of three years maturation the whisky is graceful, using a combination of bourbon, red wine and kosher sherry barrels the distillery is producing some excellent whisky.

Red apple and stone fruits on the nose, fresh honeycomb and beeswax polished oak with nutmeg and clove spices that are reminiscent of hot apple pie.

The Milk & Honey Distillery Apex Pomegranate Wine Cask Finish Cask Strength Single Malt Israeli Whisky 700ml

Milk & Honey's head Distiller, Tomer Goren, specifically selects exceptional casks with ouststanding flavour profiles for each batch of the Apex Series. And some very unusual casks make the grade. This batch represents the first and only single malt in the world to be finished in fortified style pomegranate wine casks for a period of six months.

The Milk & Honey Distillery Elements Peated Single Malt Israeli Whisky 700ml

Matured in barrels that previously held Islay whisky, then blended with ex-bourbon barrels and left to mature under the hot Tel Aviv sun. The result is a delicate, rather mellow and lightly peated whisky. Delightfully fresh with a distinct smoky, earthy scent with lemon and vanilla oak notes. Vanilla sweetness is followed by a delicate peat touch. A light spiciness accompanies ginger and lemon flavour, the peat coats the mouth with lingering lemony oak flavours.
